THE BIRTH OF A NEW HERO

(Loosely based on RoboCop Enhanced Reality)

Detroit morning. The beams of the morning sun enlighten the city of Detroit. This is now the time when people from all the working classes are going to work from the normal working class to the business class. Now what we see is a tall OCP building and we see that the cars are heading to the underground parking lot of course they are all OCP workers from security concepts, traveling concepts, military concepts and so on. The people go to their offices to get their daily work. The Old man the main boss of OCP is in his office making preparations for his trip you can see he is singing some important documents.

The look on his face is very serious but also you can se he is worried about his company if he doesn't come back alive who knows what will happen to his company. Then we hear a phone monitor beeping he pushes the button then his secretery face is shown on the monitor.

Old Man: Yes?

Secretary: Sorry to disturb you boss but Mr. Johnson is here and he said he has an appointment sir.

Old Man: Good send him in.

The double door of the Old Man's office opens Johnson enters the office the double door behind him shuts.Now they can talk without anybody interrupting them.

Johnson: Good morning boss I hope you slept well.

Old Man: Not quite well Johnson not quite well. Considering what happened the other day.

Johnson: You mean with that trial with RoboCops actions. Yes I heard it all went quite well but with few complications from Sergeant Reed, Officer Anne and Dr Tyler.

Old Man: Yes but that is all now in the past but however RoboCop did made it all hard on all of us but I think a proper punishment for him will make him think what he has done.

Johnson: I sure hope so sir and here I thought that when we built him that there won't be any problems with him but all of this is very disturbing , what he has been doing is quite a problem for all of us.

Old Man: Yes. Too bad that our young late friend Mr. Morton didn't count on this small problem but don't worry we will sort things out like all ways right?

Johnson: Yes sir. But I think that you called me here for a different reason, right sir?

Old Man: Right Johnson. Now listen I want you to watch over OCP and make sure that my niece learns a lot from you and you too try to learn from her. And make sure that RoboCop does his job very good and make sure that there are no more problems with his actions. I invested a lot of money in him.

Johnson: Don't worry sir you can count on me I will watch OCP as if is my own company sir.

Old Man: I am sure you will just try not to burn the place while I am gone and keep working on the TDX units I want them to be prepared when I return.

Johnson: Understood sir, now excuse me sir I have to go back to work.

Johnson says goodbye, he exits the old man's office, he is quite pleased with this. Now he knows once the he is gone he can do what he wants but better yet if he dies he can make plans to become number one around here.

So now he walks toward the elevator with a music ''pleasant dreams my friend''. He pushes the button for the elevator to come to the 120th floor. Then one of the OCP workers approaches him. His name is Dekar a man in his 30s, black hair and he is medium built.

Dekar: Good morning Mr. Johnson how are you today?

Johnson looks at Dekar he greets him with Hi Dekar but in his voice you can hear that he is not happy to see him so he asks him next.

Johnson: What do you want Dekar?

Dekar: Why such a long face sir, not happy to see me?

The elevator comes and Johnson gets in as well as Dekar. Johnson pushes the button to go to 45th floor. They are going down and Dekar continues his conversation with Johnson.

Dekar: So have you two considered my project?

Johnson: What?

Dekar: My project the new law enforcment droid I do believe that I gave you my papers about it three days ago so that you and Old Man can consider building him rather than TDX units. So, was he impressed?

Johnson: Look here Dekar. Let me put it this way, he simply said I think this is very silly and stupid just like I said when you first show it to me so I am sorry to inform you that he is not going to make that cyborg rubbish. We are sticking with TDX unit and besides we already tested it and the TDX robot will be a new star of this company.

Dekar remains calm so now he is trying to reason with him.

Dekar: But Mr Johnson I do believe that my robot has more proper ability than that TDX robot or ED-209 so I do believe that my product would make a good anti criminal machine.

They reach the 45th floor, Johnson gets out but he holds the elevator door to tell him what he is thinking.

Johnson: Now Dekar listen, I told you before that project is a long shot so please try to be supportive about this TDX project. Why don't you take a week off to think about this and now excuse me I got a go I have a meeting.

Johnson lets go off the elevator door and door shut so now Dekar presses the button to go to his car in the parking lot. While going down he thinks to himself that there is a possibility that they didn't even see his project so now he is lost in thoughts how he can get back at them because everyone is thinking that his project is no good.

He arrives at the parking lot and starts walking to his car he enters the car and heads to OCP testing center which is a large building.

Now he parks his car near the building entrance and makes his way to lab where his team is waiting for him. We see that there is few of them the right number of them is 7 to Dekar that is enough so now they get down to businesses.

His team members are as follows: Clair age 25 beautiful young woman black hair strong personalty and she is a skilled technician, Sakata a Japanese age 28 brown hair a technician cool headed guy and expert in field of robotics. Noriko Japanese woman age 27 straight black hair expert in fields of robotics and weapons, Sam American age 29 black hair a expert in all kinds of fire arms, Flik american age 26 brown hair expert in explosives, Bryane an American age 30 brown hair expert heavy duty weapons man and Billy American age 25 blue hair a young technician in training. Dekar is approached by young technician Billy.

Billy: So boss how did it go?

Dekar: Not so well my friends they don't like at all because they didn't even read it.

Clair: We told you that name you gave him is not very good the criminals won't be afraid of his name when they hear his name XZ they will think that is the most stupid name that they ever heard.

Dekar: Yes but I can't think of any other name for him and now it's no good if I change his name they will say no especially Johnson that dumb fuck thinks the whole word resolves around him and those stupid TDX units. I need to do something to prove them they are wrong, but how?

They all started to think of a way how to make XZ a big hit but no one has come with a brilliant idea. Someone came up with an idea, Sakata a Japanese scientist gets up from his chair and starts telling Dekar his idea.

Sakata: Dekar-sama have you ever heard of beta testing?

Dekar: Beta testing?

Sakata: Yes Dekar-sama I have an idea why don't we built it and put it for a test run in some other city to see how well he does if he does good we can put him back in this city and maybe he will cooperate with RoboCop.

Billy: But how can that be good for us?

Sakata: You see Billy-kun it's very simple two great products working together is great publicity and the public will love it, especially children. If two cyborg cops are cleaning the city better than normal cops people will worship them and they will gain popularity and since XZ is new model he will gain the same popularity like RoboCop.

Clair: Sakata we can't do that! You heard Dekar the new boss said NO. If Johnson finds out we build it without his permission, we will be dead meat.

Dekar: Now wait a second Clair. I think Sakata is right.Yes we will do our Beta testing after all this just like Rockman X Dive thing and it is the same thing with our robot. If other companies can do this so can we. Right people? So who is for?

Everyone raise their hands up except Clair. She looks around and finally she raises her hand up but she is little skeptical about this.

Dekar: Great I see all of you are for this so let's get the work we have a lot of work ahead off us.

Noriko: Hai Dekar-sama all the materials are in the lab we can start building the robot. But it will take us sometime to complete him.

Dekar: Time is one thing we got Noriko and we have patience right my dear friends?

Clair: That is all good Dekar but what if that idiot of Johnson finds out then what?

Dekar: Don't worry he is busy with other shit of his own and besides he doesn't even know how my XZ robot looks like so even if he sees it he won't know it was us. So we got nothing to lose. Now lets get to work.

They make their way to the lab now they are dividing into two groups, one group will work on the robot, second group will work on his weapons.

Dekar, Clair, Billy and Sakata are working on the robot while Noriko, Sam, Flik and Bryan are working on the weapons. We see a long table and they are putting metal pieces on that long table, now they can start working on the robot. Dekar and Sakata are using a machine that uses a set of tools that is used to make his robot usually this kind of tech is used in medical use for surgery that is very hard for humans so this is kind of surgery but this is used to create something.

An hour or two have passed but they built inside body parts now they need to put an armor. Sakata and Billy are getting the armor while Dekar is checking the parameters of the inner parts of the robots.

Billy: Here it is boss, the armor for our warrior robot.

Dekar: It looks good tell me Sakata have you built it just like I specified?

Sakata: Hai Dekar-sama just like you wanted. As you can see this armor can repel 90% of any attack and even a higher caliber won't scratch him, but if he is against the tank he better hide.

Clair: What about bazooka or fire weapons or electric attacks?

Sakata: Don't worry Clair-chan bazooka won't do so much damage, fire weapons will have no effect on him and for electric attacks we will put electric protection. Believe me we thought of everything.

Dekar: Perfect, start putting electric protection and attach the armor on him.

Now Dekar goes to the team two who is working on the weapons here we can see two weapons that are completed while the 3rd one is still in production. Bryan notice his boss, Dekar noods him so Bryan noods back he steps aside so that he can show him their work.

Dekar looks on the table and sees a handgun and a long machine gun. He is nooding, he seems happy. Now he turns to Bryan he wants to ask him about this two weapons. Bryan takes his notebook where he keeps all of his records, now he starts telling Dekar about this guns.

Dekar: They look good can you tell me what kind of weapons are they?

Bryan: Here Mr. Dekar let me fill you on the details about this great weapons. (He points at the handgun) you see this first gun is called Araska guardian. This gun is a heavy duty weapon and it is very good against human enemies it is sturdy and extremely reliable, reasonably accurate, but it is little large but for XZ it will be great so no one will ask him did he brought enough gun?

(Now he points at the large machine-gun). Now this second gun is called Cybertronic AR3000 Assault Rifle this gun has an integrated pump-action 40 mm grenade launcher below the barrel and this gun is also made of orbital steels sealed in an impact-proof polymere shell.

So as you can see this AR3000 will do good against large number of criminals. He will make Swiss cheese out of them and no one will be able to use this magnificent gun except him and RoboCop.

Dekar put on a happy face, this is like a great song hit for him, like he is listening to 80's or 90's music hits.

This is what he wanted two most important weapons are ready but for the other two he needs to wait but for now this will be fine.The team is looking at him they see that he is happy with them.

Now Dekar returns to his team to continue his work on the robot. What he sees now is that his team has put the XZ's armor now the next part is his arms. Dekar is looking at his robot he is looking impressed. Clair is coming with robots arms she stands near Dekar now she is starting to explain to him from what kind of material they are made from and what is their function.

Clair: Here are his arms Dekar. Now let me tell you about his arms. You see his arms are titanium combined with kevlar plus his arms and his legs and his armor are also made with multifunctional ceramic just like you wanted.

This will help him with his bike, you see we designed the special bike for urban combat. No human being can control it and his armor will absorb the vibration from the bike so in other words, he will be just fine.

Dekar: That is perfect ha ha, something is telling me I am gonna love this guy. And his arms will be able to break all of the bones in a human body is that correct?

Clair: Yes.Right but don't forget he will be able to break any wall that is made out of bricks with no problem but if they are made out of metal it will take a little time to break it down. Plus in his arms are small but deadly sabers in case he needs to cut something or someone.

Dekar: Great now attach the arms to his shoulders.

They start attaching his arms on him with the help of a surgery machine we can see that the Billy is operating it.

We can see that two metallic needles are being used to put together the wires to connect the arms to the robots' body. Now that part is done as we see his arms are connected and they are fully functional.

This is perfect everything is going ok soon Dekars robot will be completed. Now that same thing is done with his legs and his head, of course it took them sometime to attach his legs to his body and his head but the robot looks amazing; but now comes the moment of truth the final piece of the puzzle.

His brain is the last thing they need to finish. Dekar looks at his masterpiece he looks very happy so now they need to insert the special AI chip into XZ.

Sam: Ok the robot is ready now all we need to do is put this special AI chip.

Dekar goes to his table to get a suitcase where he is keeping a special AI chip. He opens the case we see it is a strange chip it is a small, three columns which are combined with two small steel plates, and inside we can see that there is a flat board so now Dekar goes to his robot he is ready to insert his chip into his robot but Sam stop him.

Sam: Wait! Dekar.

Dekar: Hmm why Sam? What is wrong?

Sam: Are you sure that this is ok I mean we haven't fully analyzed that chip so there is a possibility that he will try to attack us.

Dekar: Nonsense Sam he won't so don't worry.

Bryan: Yes that is true there is no guarantee that he won't kill us after all XZ and RoboCop aren't the same thing.

Clair: Bryan is right you know that RoboCop has a human brain but this robot doesn't have that his brain is this chip and this AI is still not explored well yet.

Dekar looks at his team he knows that they are all scared but he is not going to let this go he is still wants to put the chip in his robot but this questions are a little bit difficult because they are right, AI is still not fully explored yet because no one has ever succeeded in making a robot with AI chip, and ever since ED 209 made a bloody show at the main OCP meeting room by killing a OCP worker this is putting Dekar in a bad situation because he knows if this doesn't work every one will die even, him. So now he must decide will he put the chip in his robot or will he not put it.

Billy: Boss?

Dekar: Ok folks let's put this to a vote shall we? If you guys agree with this to install this chip into him I will and if you don't want then we can find another way. What do you guys think about that idea? TO BE CONTINUED...
